They made a decree to promote women's education. In order to eliminate untouchability, he stopped the rituals of different and untouchable schools in 1919. They also undertook such programs for the development of the village administration, to impart training to Patil schools, practical vocational education, teaching techniques and skills, the Vedic school for BPL students, Sanskrit school for the development of Sanskrit language.

 He provided government jobs to the untouchables (during which time the untouchables were treated). In order to treat the untouchables in the schools, clinics, water supply, public wells, public buildings, etc., they should be treated equally in Kolhapur. In 1917, he got legal remedies for widow marriage by remarriage of law. He also created the law to stop the practice of devadasi.

 Vedic struggles over the right to speak Vedok Mantan came during Rajarshi Shahu's time. It was a storm of social life in Maharashtra. In this matter, the Satyashodh movement was further motivated. While carrying out the overall development of the untouchable community, he carried forward the tradition of Mahatma Phule. He directly supported the Satyashodhak movement.

 Other functions:
 Establishment of Shahu Chhatrapati Spinning and Weaving Mill, the establishment of ShahuPuri Businesspeople, setting up of sugar market, setting up of farmers' cooperative societies, the establishment of Radhanagari dam, making the loans available to the farmers in their organization, has been successful. Rajarshi used innovations in the fields of agriculture, industry, and co-operatives. He supported research for modernization of agriculture, establishing 'King Edward Agricultural Institute' to increase the use of cash crops and technology.

 Rajarshi Shahu has done great work in Kolhapur for promoting music, film, painting, folk art and wrestling.

 The contribution of Independence:

 Maharaja has provided financial and other help from time to time in Kolhapur, Belgaum. Shahu Maharaj and Bharat Ratna Dr. The relationship of Babasaheb Ambedkar is universal. Dr. Babasaheb published 'Munni Nayak' weekly on January 31, 1920. But due to financial difficulties, they stopped. However, when Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj realized, he immediately paid a huge amount of Rs 2500.

Opposition to the traditional casteism:

 Shahu Maharaj created the state based on equality. Thus, the casteist villagers tried to kill Maharaja. Once an attempt was made to send the killers and throw the bombs to the king. But Maharaj remained safe with the love of the people and the link of the link. Many attempts have been made to defame Maharaj. But all the efforts of the enemies failed.
